The third season has totally different character and storyline, 3rd season is not considered time travel.

As Xiaochuan and Gao Yao continue this adventure to find a way back, they both get separated. Both experiencing what history will throw at them and they will become part of history.

• This drama alternate between the past and present.
• In the present, Gao Lan(Gao Yao’s sister) and Dachuan(Xiaochuan’s brother) tries to piece clues together to find out what happen to XiaoChuan and Gao Yao.
• I like the history that is shown through this drama and the bit of romance was a plus for me.

This drama is the remake of Queen In Hyun’s Man(korean drama). Two people from different eras fall in love. What will happen between an actress and a scholar? Will the 2000 years of different culture affect their relationship?

I find that the story line is the exact same as Queen In Hyun’s Man. If you find Queen In Hyun’s Man excellent than you will like the Chinese version.

This drama is pretty old, it aired in 2002 and is considered the first time travel drama that Chinese Mainland produced. I really love the story line and Zhang Ting is an excellent actress. I like both couples in this drama a lot. I’m pretty sure there is no english sub for this drama, but I would be able to recap this drama if you guys want me to.
